MILLIONS DISPLACED DUE TO CONFLICT

THOUSANDS OF AFGHAN ALLIES ARE FACING PERSECUTION DUE TO THEIR SHARED VALUES IN BASIC HUMAN RIGHTS, GENDER EQUALITY, AND DEMOCRACY

WHAT’S HAPPENING

For over 20 years, millions of brave Afghans fought and worked alongside soldiers, officials, educators, and reformers to work toward a future of human rights and democracy. In February 2020 negotiations the United States negotiated the withdrawal of U.S. soldiers and in August 2021, all U.S. troops were withdrawn.

Despite the U.S. keeping it’s pact to reduce forces, the Taliban continued to attack Afghan government forces, welcomed al-Qaeda terrorists into the Taliban Leadership, and has now begun targeting former government officials, soldiers, and activists who worked alongside U.S. forces.

WHAT WE’RE DOING

The S2S Project works with vetted and eligible Afghans in order to coordinate the evacuation and resettlement of families who are in danger. Since August 2021, the S2S Project has evacuated 3,500 approved and visa-eligible Afghans to both final and processing locations.

With over 28,000 Afghan Allies still waiting their turn to leave, we continue to purchase, deliver, and distribute supplies in those in need.

WHY HELPING IS CRUCIAL

  • WHO IS AT RISK

Since the withdrawal of U.S. Forces, Afghan civilian casualties have reached an all-time high with women and children suffering the most from the conflict.

Taliban forces have also been targeting Afghans who assisted U.S. forces, such as translators, guides, and interpreters.

  • WHO IS ELEGIBLE

Afghans who have been vetted and are able to obtain a Special Immigrant Visa are eligible for to be evacuated safely from the country and resettled.

Eligible Afghans are routed to both final and processing destinations where they are safe from Taliban and ISIS reach.

  • THOSE WHO CANNOT LEAVE

The evacuation efforts only cover a small portion of those affected by the conflict. Many are still left without clean water, electricity, food, and supplies.

With over 13,000 Afghan Allies still waiting their turn to leave, it’s imperative we continue to source, transport, and distribute life-saving supplies.
